About Us

Let us introduce ourselves

We are the Tilling’s, Nick, Sarah, and Evelyn. We are the family behind TFP, first generation pasture poultry farmers, just trying to raise our animals in a more ethical & sustainable way. Just because we raise animals for food production and consumption doesn’t mean we shouldn’t care about the animals.

The desire to teach our daughter how to cherish and respect an animals life, along with basic life skills were priorities for us. Originally we started our facebook page to show our friends and family how we were raising eggs, meat, and canning from our garden. Little did we know how many others in Hamilton co. and near by areas would quick trust and value what we do for our birds, allowing us to grow TFP!

TFP started in 2021, however we have had laying hens since 2017, and started raising meat in early 2021. Our original flock started from Sarah’s love of growing up with a Great Grandmother who had chickens which she was fond of. Sarah is from Hamilton county. Nick was raised in rural Laporte, surrounded by family friends who had a variety of livestock. He grew up helping muck the horse stalls & hanging around the auto shop. We chose to settle in the northern part of Noblesville, on the river where we had access directly to nature and could have our chickens.

Livestock Guardian Dogs

Winnie

Great Pyrenees mix, from Northern Kentucky. She thrives protecting our meat chickens during spring to fall, and working along side Cooper more during winter. Our big girl gets her daily steps in securing the fence line, and enjoys a good cookie after a hard days work.

Cooper

Full blooded Great Pyrenees, born in southern Indiana. He excels in aerial predator protection for the free-range layers & works well as back up to the meat birds. Cooper thoroughly enjoys working as the dynamic duo with Winnie, and getting tummy rubs for being good boy.
